Springs of Life Children’s Home started as a children protection, care and feeding centre in Lusaka. It was need driven in its formation in 2010 Major drivers that motivated the response was and remains widespread and acute economic poverty and hunger in poor households which expose children to harsh conditions to the extent that some are abandoned by poor parents. Orphaned children stray into the streets of cities where they fail to access education, food and hence suffer from acute malnutrition hence deteriorating poor health. The Organization started with providing food, accommodation, clothing, social and health care particularly in the light of HIV and AIDS prevalence in Zambia. The centre was registered with the Registrar of societies as a charitable Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO)on 29th October 2008. The Organisation has since been operating on ad-hoc basis through members, charitable Organisations and networking activities. Springs of Life has its office premises on plot no. 2082 dallas, kabwe.
